Thunder Rumblers- The organizers of this race (there are two of us) have been struggling with this decision. The City of Tumwater is the MOST supportive place we could have ever worked with and we do not want this run to disappear. However, we are servicemembers, and as such, our hands are tied. The non-profit organization that we have worked with the last two years is not able to partner with us this time around to get the planning done and we simply don't have the means to put this together on our own. If there is another running group or non-profit in our followers that would like to claim this run as yours- I am sure the city would love to have it. Please contact me if you are interested. Until further notice- this year's run will not take place. This run has been the bright spot of my time stationed here- thank you to everyone who has participated.

Runners! Good news! The date for the run this year has been decided! So, mark your calendars for the 29th of August!! We can't wait to see you there! Tell all your friends! It will be a 5k and a 10k again!

Over 190 registered participants and about 100 Soldiers from the 17th Field Artillery Brigade participated in the 2nd Annual Thunder Rumble 5k/10k run this morning in the City of Tumwater. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, more excited communities and motivating Soldiers. Great day for a run and to get together!

Rumblers and Rumbler-wanna-be's: Online registration is now closed, but there will be a registration table open at 7am Saturday. So put on your running shoes, grab your coffee, plug 7725 Center Street, Tumwater into your GPS, and meet us out there! For those who have registered, don't forget to pick-up your packets Friday between 3 and 7pm at Sports Authority in Olympia. And while you are there, check out their new store!
