Whether you're racing the 5K, bringing the whole crew for the Fun Run & Walk or showing up for what may be the most competitive event of the weekend — the Mascot Dash — there’s plenty happening before Sunday’s big races even begin.

Running has always been about more than miles.
It's the friend who meets you when you really don't feel like going. The run that gives you a little room to clear your head. The community that notices when you haven't shown up in a while. The finish line you once weren't sure you could reach.

On World Mental Health Day, we're celebrating all the ways movement, connection and community can support our mental wellbeing — on the good days and the hard ones.

Running isn't a cure, and taking care of your mental health can look different for everyone. Sometimes it's a few miles. Sometimes it's rest. Sometimes it's talking to someone. Sometimes it's asking for help.

Whatever it looks like for you, you don't have to do it alone.

Lots of little shoes. One pretty big goal. 💙
Kicks for Kids is officially underway, and students across our participating Tulsa-area schools are putting in their miles each week as they work toward race day.

These run clubs are about more than logging miles. They're about showing up, trying something new, building confidence and getting the chance to experience a finish line of their own.

And our Route 66 community gets to help make it happen.
You can support Kicks for Kids by starting a fundraiser or making a direct donation — every bit helps us continue bringing running opportunities to kids throughout our community.

This year, we're not just running Route 66. We're celebrating 100 years of it.
The Mother Road was established in 1926, and this November we're bringing the Centennial celebration right to the Williams Route 66 Marathon start line.

A new course with even more miles on Route 66. A weekend built around the road that inspired this race in the first place. And thousands of runners getting to be part of a celebration that only comes around once.

Kicks for Kids is officially underway 🎉
Each week, students at Tulsa-area Title I schools are showing up, moving, building confidence and working toward something pretty special: race day.

Kicks for Kids helps make running accessible to kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity — and the Route 66 community gets to be part of it.

Want to help them get to the finish line?

Some people get to mile 25-ish of a marathon and think, “You know what this needs? More running.”

Luckily, we have just the thing.

Take the optional Center of the Universe Detour on marathon day and turn 26.2 into 26.5 — officially earning bragging rights as a finisher of the World's Shortest Ultra.
