📢 Attention Oklahoma Exhibitors Attending the National POA Congress

After speaking with Dr. Hall, Oklahoma State Veterinarian, we have determined regarding entry requirements for horses attending the National POA Congress.

In addition to the previously announced requirements, all horses traveling from Oklahoma to the POA National Congress will be required to have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), commonly referred to as a Health Certificate.

Please make arrangements with your veterinarian to obtain this documentation prior to departure. We encourage exhibitors to complete this requirement well in advance of travel to avoid any last-minute issues.

If you have any questions, please contact your veterinarian or the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture for additional guidance.

Courtney is the founder of CEO Performance Horses, where she specializes in longe line, western pleasure, and trail. Throughout her career, she has earned multiple national and futurity titles across these disciplines, establishing herself as a respected trainer and competitor.

In addition to her success with Appaloosas, Courtney is also heavily involved in the POA industry, where she continues to develop and exhibit top-quality horses. One of the highlights of her 2025 show season was capturing a World Championship title in Junior Trail.

📢 Bringing Horses into Oklahoma? Check Import Requirements Before You Travel

If you’re transporting horses into Oklahoma from another state, be sure to verify the current entry requirements before travel. Requirements may vary based on the horse’s state of origin and current disease regulations.

In general, horses entering Oklahoma typically require:
✅ A current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI/Health Certificate) issued by an accredited veterinarian
✅ A negative Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA/Coggins) test within the required timeframe
✅ Additional documentation or requirements if disease-related restrictions are in effect

The Pony of the Americas Club National Congress is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Congress officially kicks off with arrivals beginning June 29 at 8:00 a.m. as exhibitors, competitors, families, and POA enthusiasts from across the country gather for an unforgettable week of competition, friendship, learning, and fun.
