Happy National Science Fiction Day!

How will you celebrate? What will you read, watch, listen to, or simply ponder?

National Science Fiction Day is a moment to recognize the genre’s lasting impact on our culture, our collective creativity, and how we imagine the future. Science fiction challenges us to think beyond the present: exploring new worlds, emerging technologies, and the questions that come with progress.

The day aligns with the birthday of Isaac Asimov, whose work helped shape how science fiction approaches ideas of ethics and society. While the genre has expanded far beyond any single voice, that tradition of thoughtful speculation continues to influence creators and fans alike.

Science fiction remains deeply connected to how people create: Shaping the way stories are told, worlds are imagined, and ideas are explored across art, media, and community spaces. It provides a framework for creativity that encourages experimentation, curiosity, and new ways of thinking.

Today, we recognize the genre and those special individuals who keep imagining what comes next.

As we at OS4CA welcome the New Year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the year behind us and look ahead to what’s coming next.

This past year was filled with creativity, learning, and connection only made possible by our attendees, volunteers, artists, vendors, partners, guests, venues, and supporters. Your passion and participation continue to shape our events and strengthen this community, and we are truly grateful for the role each of you played in making 2025 our best year yet.

Looking forward, the new year brings exciting new community initiatives, expanded event programming, and new ways to engage with our events and help us further our non-profit's mission. We’re eager not only to build on what we’ve learned but also to introduce many experiences and build new partnerships that continue to Promote Education & Community Through Entertainment.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. As the year begins, we invite you to get involved: whether by volunteering, partnering with us, participating in our events, or simply sharing in the excitement.

Here’s to a Happy New Year and another year of creativity, collaboration, knowledge, and community.

Thank you once again for your support in 2025!

As we mark the anniversary of our 5th year of operations, we also want to thank once again every attendee, staff member, volunteer, artist, vendor, guest, exhibitor, partner, business, and any and all other individuals who have contributed to our events and our continued success.

We hope to mark our sixth year with the implementation of our Tulsa Community Development Program, more frequent programming and community collaborations, the development of our events both large and small, and the driving of reinvestment back into the local area.

We look forward to working with and producing for each and every one of you.
