It is with great sadness that I report the death of Joan Wallem. She was the true picture of a Phi Mu woman and a dear friend of mine. Several years ago she was honored by Foundation for all her years of service and I was the very lucky person they asked to make her a special piece of jewelry to honor her. I will miss her phone calls to me, just to say hi. Rest in Peace Joan!

We have finally arrived home, it took almost 2 hrs longer than expected due to an unusual amount of semis hogging the hwy. Finn is ecstatic about being home. He doesn’t know what to do with himself. I removed his cone and put on a blow up pillow type that he is already liking. He can still reach wounds on his lower leg, but can’t reach the horrible one under his arm. It allows him to use the dog door too

Tucson Phi Mu's welcome to the new year. Lots of activities and new members to come meet. The first get together Is Sep 9 at Donna's home, 5pm potluck BBQ. A big welcome to new member Rachael Kendekin.
Check to date, there have been some changes and I am not sure I got all the new dates right!
Oct 21, 5pm, Joanie is hosting the Oct Fest/wine tasting party.
Nov, date TBA, 9am Tubac jaunt with a Mexican lunch and pottery stop. Contact Cheryl for more info.

I will be in town again in November, not sure what weekend for my regular dog show trip. My dog is currently in herding school in Willams, AZ so not sure he will be showing at Tucson. I will probably have substitute Mallory for the show.
