This is Bobbi! An update on those coming to the Mt Adams Midnight Rider Endurance Ride:
I am soliciting input on the bridges, I avoid them with my rig so can't really give people good advice, anybody out there with some experience with these bridges?
COMING FROM THE NORTH:
-- I recommend coming down the 5 to the 205.
-- I really hate the bridges, so I don't go to Oregon, I take the winding 14 and go under the 5 tunnels. It is narrow, winds and has 5 tunnels, but I hate the bridges from Oregon to Washington.
COMING FROM OREGON:
-- I hate the bridges, lost a mirror on one once, I avoid them.
-- If coming from Idaho, the Dalles is probably the best?
-- These are toll bridges; however, there is no one collecting tolls. You will get a bill in the mail later for twice what the toll is. If you get the bill, call them, and they should reduce the amount.
There was an accident on the little WA 141-Alt yesterday, a dump truck went over the side, I hope it is open today. Be careful!
Be safe and drive carefully. I have signs out that start at Trout Lake, but I have been told they are hard to see!
