👊 Teaching artist Kendall Kotcher takes a jab at Unarmed Stage Combat for those 18+ on Saturday, May 16th. You won't want to miss this workshop on how to punch up your characters 😉

📸 KarunaPhoto graces our stage at the MATCH with mini headshot sessions for anyone (not just actors or singers!) looking to get a professional photo that expresses your personality. Come by for a fantastic photo at a fraction of the price for formal headshots!

🎭 And wrapping up the month is teaching artist Aaron Wineman who's leading one of the most sought after workshops we've heard about these last few months: directing! Whether you've never directed before, or only assistant directed, or it's been some time since you were behind the curtain calling the shots - we encourage you to join us for a crash course in directing. Students who attend this workshop will be eligible for a discount to our 6 week course which offers a more hands on and in-depth training on how to bring out the theatrical leader in you.

Don’t worry - we won’t let a little leak put out the the match. We’ll be all fixed up and ready for Q***r Cabaret next weekend!

Shout out to troupe members Karl, Ben, Allix, Kristen and Jill for coming to the rescue earlier this week when we discovered a leak in the roof of The MATCH. These fine folks dropped everything to help Lesley move props and set pieces to safety. Much love going out to all dealing with the floods this week and a big thank you to all those folks who’ve been helping the community with damage control!

We believe that art is powerful...and necessary. We are so incredibly grateful to have received grant funding for 2026 from Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. In order to accept this funding we have to commit to meeting 25% of the total - $8066 to be exact. Will you help us reach that goal? We're excited to get some audience energy back in the venue tonight! The show is free and tickets are available at the door!
