Dear Farmlandians!

It's on!

As fans of the outdoors, we believe “there’s so such thing as bad weather; just bad clothes”.

2022 Race Notes and Suggestions:

Day of Packet pick up and Late Registration is at race site, 10:45-11:45 a.m. December 3rd, race day. Use smart phone and QR code only. Tell your friends!

Important Stuff to Know:

All race activities take place OUTSIDE! Bring a change of dry, warm clothes and boots for after your run or ride. There will be fires burning and great complimentary food and beverages.

The 5K race will start promptly at 12:00 noon on Saturday December 3rd, followed by the bike race at 1:00 p.m.

Race site parking entrance is a 2-track road just south of Courtade Elementary school which is 1111 Rasho Rd, 49696. Look for parking signs on Rasho Rd.

Run race number goes on the front. Bike number attached on the front of bike. Combo riders will get a run bib and a ride plate.

There will be a cross country style command, “runners/riders set” and then a “gun” start, with a wide start line.

Bib = Beer (adults over 21). Volunteer servers will look at bibs to check age, and then serve up to 2 awesome Shorts beverages. There is an N/A choice.

Bib = Food (finishers). Please don’t go for seconds before others haven’t gotten their first! Tell your support crew we will have a donation jar if they’d like to grab some chili, hot chocolate, or coffee.

Awards and Age Group Awards are only available at the Awards Ceremony. Unclaimed awards will not be mailed. Please stay for a lively, festive awards presentation, weather permitting (see below). Awards custom-made from reclaimed barn wood from the Rasho farm.

Dear 2022 Farmlandians! Please read (All the way through!)

A Side Note About the Weather:

As fans of the outdoors, we believe “there’s so such thing as bad weather; just bad clothes”.

At 7:15 p.m. as we write, the NWS local weather forecast for our area is a Wind Advisory from Sat. 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and states "use caution when driving."

If this increases to NWS advising cars to stay off the road unless an emergency, we will cancel. If so, we will notify participants by their registration email, and on our event page. Here is our plan:

"If the NWS post at Alpena/Gaylord issues a winter weather advisory telling people to stay off the roads any time between 9 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., we will cancel."

If cancelled, you will be automatically registered for the 2023 Farmland events.

In summary, we will not put people in danger on the roads, and will look forward to seeing you next year!

2022 Race Notes and Suggestions:

Late Registration opens online again at 9:00 p.m. tonight, (12/2) see QR code below:
