Boots & Hats Competition! 🤠

The Hat and Boot Dance: A Spectacle of Tradition and Style at our upcoming Powwow! THIS WEEKEND! September 21 & 22, 2024

The Hat and Boot Dance stands out it is dance that combines tradition with of course with cowboy boots and cowboy hats.

The Hat and Boot Dance, also known as the "Crow Hop" dance, it is a dance style, It is a dance that uniquely blends tradition, artistry, and entertainment. This dance pays homage to the horse culture.

What makes the Hat and Boot Dance, distinctive is the regalia worn by the dancers. Unlike other traditional dances, the Hat and Boot dancers wear hat and boots. The hat is often adorned with feathers, beadwork, and other decorative elements, Both the hat and boots are designed to tell a story, often depicting symbols, tribal motifs, and personal experiences.

**The Dance:**

The Hat and Boot Dance is a fast up beat drum beat, and the dancers use there fancy footwork and spirited movements. Dancers move in a way that imitates the prancing and galloping of horses, historical connection to these magnificent animals. As they dance, the sound of bells and other jingling ornaments on their regalia gives it the final touch!

The Hat and Boot Dance is performed during intertribal dancing, this dance is one to see!
