It is with deep regret that as of July 1st, the lease with Eberhardt LLC, held by Ben Eberhardt and Colgate University will be terminated two years early and Eberhardt will no longer operate the Colgate Inn. This unfortunate decision was made solely by Colgate University. Though several attempts were made, they have not shared any information with regard to how or why this decision was made. The University has contracted with Charlestowne Hotels to assume operations at the Colgate Inn. Very little information has been disclosed regarding the new management company or any plans for transition of staff, transferring reservations and continuing operations.

We have been profoundly honored to serve Colgate, the Hamilton community as well as alumni, college students and their families, business travelers and tourists who have visited us over the last 14 years. It has been our mission to make the Colgate Inn a destination where all could feel welcome. We have been deeply dedicated to creating long lasting relationships with the community, and we have made Hamilton our home. To say that we have enjoyed our time at the Colgate Inn is an understatement. On behalf of the Colgate Inn management team and our exceptional staff, we would like to express our sincere, heartfelt appreciation to the community and all of our friends and visitors who have supported us during our time here.
