The Grange (Patrons of Husbandry) is a fraternal family organization dedicated
to the betterment of the American way of life through community service, education, legislation and fellowship. The Grange includes members of all ages and specifically
has programs for Juniors (ages 5-14), Youth (ages 14-23) and Young Adults (ages 23-35). The Grange represents approximately 9,000 Pennsylvanians acros

s the Commonwealth. It is the oldest agricultural and rural advocacy organization of its kind in the United States. The National Grange representing about 200,000 members, began in 1867 and the PA State Grange was chartered in 1873.

In October, our Grange was well represented in various contests at the annual State Grange Session in Williamsport.
We came away with four 1st Place ribbons, four 2nd Place ribbons, four 3rd Place ribbons and one 4th Place ribbon. And of course, our biggest source of pride, Tammy Schaeffer's plaque for PA State Grange Granger of the Year 2025.

Last weekend, the Youth of Pioneer Grange #1777 had the honor of being selected as part of the Youth Officer Team at the 153rd Annual State Grange Session in Williamsport and opened the session on Saturday morning. Great job, girls!

On Sunday afternoon, at the finale All-Granger Banquet, our very own Tammy Schaeffer was selected as The PA State Grange Granger of the Year! This is a prestigious award given to a well-deserving Granger for outstanding work in the Grange and their community. Congratulations, Tammy!!!
