Exciting news for the Topsham Fair!

We are excited to announce that Pine Tree Helicopters will be joining us at the Topsham Fair this year, offering helicopter rides with an incredible view of the fairgrounds from above.

This will be a unique chance to see the fair from a whole new perspective, with the rides, barns, grandstand, midway, and fairgrounds all below you.

Bring the family, make a memory, and experience the Topsham Fair from the sky!

Offering Maine helicopter flight training!

We would like to remind everyone that the Topsham Fair grounds are private property and unauthorized motor vehicles are not permitted to be used on the Topsham Fairgrounds unless approved by the fair board.

Please be respectful of the grounds, the property, the members and volunteers who work hard to maintain and improve the fairgrounds throughout the year.

If you are on the grounds, please clean up after yourself, take any trash with you, and leave the property the way you found it.

The Topsham Fairgrounds are here for the community, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep them clean, safe, and respected.

Thank you for your cooperation and support

We are currently working on bringing helicopter rides to the Topsham Fair this year.

This would be an unforgettable chance to see the fairgrounds and surrounding area from the sky, and we think it would be an incredible addition for fairgoers of all ages.

Nothing is fully finalized yet, but we wanted to share the excitement as we continue working on making this happen.

Would you take a helicopter ride at the Topsham Fair?

By 1870, the Topsham Fair was already becoming a proud tradition in our community. What began in the mid-1850s as the Sagadahoc Agricultural and Horticultural Society Fair had grown into a place where local farmers, families, craftsmen, and neighbors came together to celebrate the hard work and spirit of Maine agriculture.

In those early years, the fair was not just about entertainment. It was about showing livestock, produce, handmade goods, farming skills, and the pride of a working community. Families would gather at the fairgrounds to see what their neighbors had raised, grown, built, and created.

The historic Topsham Fairgrounds Grandstand, believed to have been built in the 1860s, stood as part of that early fair tradition and remains one of Maine’s rare surviving 19th-century fairground grandstands.

When we look back at 1870, we are reminded that the Topsham Fair has always been more than rides, food, and events. It has always been about community, agriculture, tradition, and generations of people coming together.

That same spirit still lives on today.

Meet the topsham fair.
Our fair board works behind the scenes all year long, planning, organizing, repairing, improving, and preparing so that every fair season can be the best it can be

Kathi Yergin of Lisbon, Maine, has been a dedicated part of the Topsham Fair for the past fourteen years. Married to her husband Jerry, Kathi is a proud mother of six and grandmother to ten grandchildren. Throughout her years with the fair, she has served in several roles, demonstrating her commitment and passion for the community before taking on the position of President of the Topsham Fair. My goal is to continue to help make the fair a success year after year as my predecessors have done.

The Topsham Fair is always growing, improving, and evolving, and we would love to have more community members be part of it.

We are looking for volunteers to help around the fairgrounds on Wednesdays starting at 4:00 PM. There is always room for more helping hands, whether you can stay for a little while or lend a hand for the evening.

Stop by the Exhibition Hall and join us in being part of something that has meant so much to this community for generations.

Come help, get involved, and be part of the ever evolving Topsham Fair
