OUR BIGGEST BAZAAR NEWS & STORY TIME YET. Have you ever had news so big that you just blurt it out and then explain? Well, here goes…

We are hosting a Vintage Bazaar at the Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut on August 15 & 16!

This past October, we had a group of special “undercover” guests come to our Vintage Bazaar Fall Festival. They explored, they shopped, they dined at our food trucks, they listened to our bands perform…they soaked it all in! We were completely unaware.

Then two weeks later, I received an email that put my jaw on the floor.

Staff from the Mystic Seaport Museum had come to Vintage Bazaar and asked if I would be interested in hosting a special Vintage Bazaar experience within their stunning outdoor campus! I think I read that email 4 times because I was in utter disbelief.

Not only is Mystic a beautiful coastal town rich in history, but the Mystic Seaport Museum is truly world class. People travel from all over to visit this legendary maritime destination.

But it gets better…

One of the museum’s most prized exhibits is the SABINO Steamship. My great grandfather and grandfather rescued this boat from Maine and sailed it to Newburyport, MA where it was restored at my family’s marina. For years it cruised the Merrimack River before my family sold it to the Mystic Seaport Museum in the late 70s — where it still sails today.

I grew up hearing stories about this boat, so this feels like a true full circle moment for my family. And the museum had NO idea about our connection when they visited Vintage Bazaar.

KISMET.

This Vintage Bazaar will be truly special. Visitors will be able to explore the outdoor campus, stroll through the recreated seaport village, dine at onsite taverns & cafes, enjoy live exhibits, and shop all your favorite bazaar vendors.
