Coach Jules Thrive through perimenopause - let's talk. If you’re ready to feel strong again, send me a message and let’s talk about your goals. 💪

Hi, I’m Jules — a strength coach with 15+ years of experience helping women rebuild muscle, lose body fat, and train smarter through perimenopause. After years in the CrossFit world, I developed The 4-1 Evolution Method to help strength-driven women 45+ regain power, energy, and confidence without burning out their bodies.

The real shock after CrossFit isn’t burnout.
It’s realizing intensity stopped working.
I used to train 5–6 days a week.
That was my thing.
The strong one.
The disciplined one.
The one who could outwork everyone.
And then… my body just stopped responding.
Same workouts.
Same effort.
But now I was exhausted, inflamed, and holding weight I couldn’t shift.
I kept thinking—
I just need to push harder.
That made it worse.
Then I realized what was happening to me 👇
** I was still consistent… but my results disappeared
** I would leave workouts more drained than strong
** The weight wasn’t moving—but the frustration was
** I don’t recognize my body anymore
** Rest days feel like failure instead of strategy
** I quietly wonder if it’s just “age” or worse just me.
** No one at the gym is talking about this phase and I feel alone
** I start questioning the identity I built for years

Empty nesting (well..mostly, I’ve still got one 16 yr old at home) has brought on a REAL identity shift.
I’m not going to pretend I’ve had it all together.
If I’m honest…
I’ve felt restless.
A little reckless.
Like I’m searching for something…but not grounded in it yet.
At the same time, my body started rejecting the 5-6 day CrossFit routine I used to hold sacred.
SO here I am…
50 years old, feeling like a teenager again and questioning EVERYTHING.
—————
I went back to what has always grounded me—hiking 🥾.
That led me to Taos, attempting the highest peak.
What was meant to center me, turned into a moment that shook me.
By the time we reached 12,400 ft we were exhausted with little daylight left.
And instead of choosing the safest way down,
I chose the fastest.
—————-
We saw groups sliding down the slopes, so I picked the closest one.
Steeper.
Untouched.
And for some reason, I thought using an emergency blanket to slide was a good idea 🤷🏻‍♀️.
(I know…)
Even worse?
I knew it didn’t feel right.
So I said,
“I don’t know if this is safe, so I’ll go first.)
—————
I didn’t even get set.
I was gone.
Sliding at what felt like 100mph,
Straight towards the rocks below.
I tried to stop myself with my feet….
And that turned into a full, uncontrolled roll.
In that moment-
My life flashed before my eyes.
————-
But God.
I truly believe angels scooped me up.
Because what should have happened….didn’t.
My friends said I just suddenly stopped halfway down,
On a slope that should have carried me all the way into the rocks.
I sat there…shaken…but alive.
No major injuries.
Just muscle spasms and a heart that knew I had just been spared.
————
That mountain didn’t just humble me,
It corrected me.
Here’s what I walked away with:
1️⃣ When my instinct says “this isn’t right”…I need to listen the first time.
2️⃣ God is in control of my life- and He is protecting me even when I’m not making wise choices.
3️⃣ I don’t need chaos or danger to feel alive.
Purpose doesn’t come from proving…it comes from alignment.

Right now your body feels unfamiliar…
but you can feel like an athlete again—with the right strategy.
For years, I trained like a competitor.
CrossFit, intensity, pushing limits… and my body responded.
Until it didn’t.
Mid-40s hit and suddenly—
my recovery slowed down
my energy dropped
my waist started changing
and no matter how hard I trained… nothing worked the same.
So I did what most former athletes do—
I pushed harder.
And that’s exactly what kept me stuck.
Everything changed when I stopped chasing intensity
and started training for perimenopause, recovery, and muscle rebuilding instead.
Here’s what actually works now:
• Prioritize strength training over constant high-intensity workouts
• Fuel your body with enough protein to support muscle (not under-eating)
• Add daily walking to lower stress and support fat loss
• Reduce overall training stress so your body can actually recover
• Train in a way your hormones can keep up with
This is how you rebuild muscle, reduce inflammation, and feel strong again in midlife.
🙋‍♀️ Hands up if your body feels different lately—but you’re still training the same way?

You’re training like you always have… but your waist, energy, and recovery say otherwise?
For years, that approach worked. You showed up, pushed hard, stayed consistent—and your body responded.
Now you’re doing the same things…but 👉your joints ache longer👉your energy crashesand 👉your body composition is shifting in ways you don’t recognize.
So you push harder.
And instead of getting leaner or stronger…you feel more inflamed, more exhausted, and more frustrated.
Here’s what’s actually happening:
1️⃣ Your recovery capacity has changed2️⃣ Your body is more sensitive to stress3️⃣ Too much intensity is driving inflammation, not results4️⃣ Under-fueling is making it harder to rebuild muscle
This isn’t about doing less. It’s about training smarter for this season.
So let me ask you—
Which one are you noticing most right now:A)slower recovery
B) low energy, or
C) changes in your waist?

45+ and your body won’t respond? Read this.
You don’t need another restrictive diet.
You need a strategy that actually works for your body now.
If you’re 45+ and:
• You’ve lifted before (CrossFit, strength training, gym experience)
• Your body stopped responding the way it used to
• Fat loss feels harder… especially around your midsection
• And you’re tired of starting over every few months…
This is where we rebuild it the right way.
Not more restriction.
Not more punishment.
Not more burnout.
We train smarter. We fuel properly. We rebuild strength first.
