Tomahawk’s Music on the River Announces 2026 Summer Concert Schedule
TOMAHAWK, Wis., April 2026 — Tomahawk's Music on the River (TMOR) will celebrate its nineteenth year with a dynamic summer concert series in 2026. Seven free performances are planned at Veteran's Memorial Park in Tomahawk, WI, featuring The Cougars, B.D.Greer, Ember, The Ramble, Johnny and the MoTones, The Jimmys, and Copper Box.
The series begins June 17, 2026, offering weekly concerts every Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Attendees can arrive by car, foot, bicycle, or boat, and are welcome to bring lawn chairs, picnic dinners, coolers, family, neighbors, and friends. All performances are free for everyone. If weather conditions are poor, concerts will move indoors to the arena at SARA Park.

June 17: The Cougars - This dynamic six-member band showcases three lead female vocalists, performing everything from Journey to Lady Gaga with outstanding harmonies. The Cougars offer an entertaining blend of pop, eighties classics, and cross-over country. Widely regarded as one of the Midwest's most popular groups and a top attraction in Green Bay, The Cougars are known for consistently delivering superb performances.
June 24: B.D. Greer with The Gents - B.D. Greer will make her debut at TMOR as a distinguished vocalist from Milwaukee. She is renowned for her versatile voice, reminiscent of classic artists such as Aretha Franklin and Peggy Lee, delivering captivating performances in soul and jazz. Her ability to engage audiences through high-energy presentations further distinguishes her artistry.
July 1: EMBER – Ember returns as a prominent act in the upper Midwest casino and festival circuit, blending innovative original compositions with dynamic interpretations of pop, rock, and country hits. Fronted by vocalist Sarah Buresh, the group presents a unique experience integrating the energy of a large-scale rock performance with the sophistication of an orchestral recital.
July 8: The Ramble – A new addition to the TMOR concert series, The Ramble is the winner of the Hodag Country Festivals 2024 Country Band Championship. Originating from the southern region and specializing in traditional country music, The Ramble demonstrates a strong affinity for country hits from the 1990s and 2000s. Their live performances guide audiences through classic selections that showcase the enduring legacy of country music.
July 15: Johnny and the Motones - This distinguished Wisconsin ensemble, led by John Altenburgh, is renowned for its longstanding affiliation with the Wausau music community. With more than twenty years of acclaimed recordings and performances, the group expertly blends blues, soul, jazz, and R&B genres while demonstrating exceptional musical versatility.
July 22: The Jimmy's - This celebrated band delivers lively shows and has earned multiple awards from the Wisconsin Association of Music Industry as well as the Madison Area Music Association. With a repertoire of original music that resonates with followers of roots rock, classic R&B, and blues, The Jimmy's are skilled performers who ensure every show is captivating.
July 29: Copper Box - A longtime favorite returning this year to kick off the season, Copper Box is an accordion-fueled, roots rock party!!! Based in Oshkosh, WI the band and its members have won multiple WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) awards over the years. Entertaining crowds with threads of blues, rock, zydeco, and polka all fused together in a genre-blending celebration.
