*Special Event Notice – Glass City Jazzfest at Glass City Metropark*
Glass City Jazzfest is expected to bring large crowds to Glass City Metropark on Saturday, August 9. Whether you’re joining the festival or vising the park, please be prepared for higher-than-normal visitation. See below for shuttle, parking and event information:
TAKE THE SHUTTLE TO THE FESTIVAL ENTRANCE
The fastest way in and out of the festival is by shuttle. TARTA’s JazzFest Express shuttle will provide continuous service for $1.50 ($3 round-trip) from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from two locations: Franklin Park Mall and Glass City Upriver (large lot across from The Docks restaurants). All TARTA vehicles are ADA accessible or TARTA Move paratransit service to the event can be scheduled by calling 419-382-9901.
LIMITED ON-SITE PARKING
Parking at Glass City Metropark where the festival is located will be extremely limited. There will only be one entry to the park on Saturday from Front Street at the shared drive with the National Museum of the Great Lakes. When lots are full, vehicles will be directed to Glass City Upriver. From there, visitors can walk across Main St. to the festival or you can ride the JazzFest Express shuttle.
GLASS CITY JAZZFEST
Bring a lawn chair and enjoy this FREE festival featuring a full day of local, regional, national and international jazz music from 12:30 to 10 p.m. The festival will feature a variety of local food trucks, vendor and artisan booths, playgrounds and park amenities for visitors of all ages, and The Garden restaurant and bar will be open.
