Two weeks from today!

You are all cordially invited to the opening night of the exhibition inside the Roundhouse . These are many of my paintings from my anti war collection which I started twenty odd years ago in England. Those paintings sold out but I did carry on with the series when I moved here.

I then adapted the images recreating them on the outside depicting the psychology of the war on poverty with a twist. These images tell the story frame by frame on the power of hope and it's happy ending yes I'm a sucker for that. Wanting to not only tell the story of homelessness a subject we don't always want to touch. In each frame you will see the white picket fence a universal dream . The American dream which is what most people want throughout the world ...their children and loved ones safe ...education and food on the table. Right now We are living in such turbulent and uncertain times. Yet through all this we are witnessing the courage and determination of those who will fight for fairness for all. It's hope that will push us through. My work although a dark subject is created with hope , my use of saturated and sometimes conflicting colors along with the uncomfortable subject matter of homelessness depict this .We are all just one paycheck ... One illness ...one bad decision away from our lives taking a sneaky turn .

I do believe America will get through this because we have more good people than bad. Everyday organizations like Family Promise of Brevard make a difference in a positive way towards helping those in need . They do it from the heart with love and determination to simply make a difference to those less fortunate . I look forward to sharing this evening with you all . You will get to meet the many artists and people who have helped on this project. As well as the many people from family promise who make all the magic happen . So looking forward to seeing you all ❤️❤️❤️ btw it's not a couples night I'm the ultimate Singleton and love celebrating my own Valentine's day 😃 ❤️❤️❤️

Three weeks from today! Bring your ❤ for an event to celebrate home, hope, and community with the unveiling of a new mural and art exhibition by Maxine Trainer! Come to the opening reception of "The Roundhouse Paintings" where Maxine's work and a preview of birdhouses created by local artists for Family Promise's "The Big Brunch" will be on display. Enjoy great art and lively conversation. Free and open to the public. Refreshments and nibbles provided!
