Times Square on the Square
On December 31, Tillamook Revitalization Association (TRA) will be hosting a FREE family-friendly New Year’s Eve party for the community on 2nd St Plaza and in front of the courthouse. There will be entertainment, music, food and merchant vendors, a photo booth, face painting, and other activities to entertain the night away in heated tents both on the Plaza, on 2nd Street between Pacific and Laurel, and a large event tent located in front of the courthouse on Laurel Ave. The TRA wanted to provide the community a safe, family-friendly way to celebrate the New Year. The event starts at 7:00 pm and will run until 1:00 am.
Scott Casey will be DJing the night away with commentary speaker Major Weber and guest speakers in the large tent on Laurel Ave. Twin Ranch Catering will be selling hamburger and hot dogs and the Rondevue Restaurant will offer delivery to the tables in the large tent. Order from you seat and enjoy the nights entertainment. 2nd St Plaza will be hosting karaoke. Entertainment is sponsored by Lighthouse Property Rentals and Oceanside Beach Rentals.
The Tent on 2nd St will be hosting kid carnival games. These games are free. Vendors will be selling there amazing items in this location also. Come and see all the amazing things they have to offer.
There is over 7 selfie stations to make sure you are creating memories to share. Free cup cakes will be provided by The Social House Café and Marketplace and Popcorn by All Star Appliances.
The night will culminate with a live ball drop by the Tillamook Fire Department’s ladder truck, ringing in the year 2020! The 42” fully lit ball is built by local firefighter Chuck Spittles and donated by All Star Appliances. There will be an East Coast drop at 9:00 pm with New York, which includes a sparkling cider toast. This allows families with children, and those who would like to get home early, an opportunity to experience the exciting ball drop and not have to stay out until midnight. At midnight Pacific Time, we will have our own West Coast ball drop along with a sparkling cider toast. Both toasts are donated by the Rendezvous Restaurant.
The TRA is looking for volunteers, donations, raffle items, and sponsors to help put on this family-friendly event. Please contact Annie Bishop at 503-812-8717
