Kate Mulgrew appeared on numerous television series before becoming known to Star Trek fans as Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek Voyager. She appeared regularly on the television series Ryan's Hope from 1975-1989. She also starred in the 1988 television movie Roots: The Gift with Star Trek alumni LeVar Burton and Avery Brooks. After seven successful seasons of Star Trek Voyager, Kate Mulgrew starred in the popular Netflix series, Orange is the New Black. Armin Shimerman is known by many Star Trek fans as the Ferengi Quark on Star Trek Deep Space Nine. He first appeared on Star Trek however in the Next Generation episode "The Last Outpost" portraying a different Ferengi. Armin Shimerman has been a busy actor over the years appearing in dozens of movies and television series including 7 episodes of Boston Legal where he joined Star Trek's William Shatner and also reunited with former co-star from Deep Space Nine, Rene Auberjonois. Coincidentally, like his DS9 co-stars Terry Farrell and Nana Visitor, Armin Shimerman also appeared in the 1980s The Twilight Zone. Terry Farrell appeared in numerous television series and movies before becoming known to Star Trek fans as Jadzia Dax on Star Trek Deep Space Nine where she starred for 6 seasons. She then moved on to the TV sitcom Becker, where she starred as Regina "Reggie" Kostas with Ted Danson, (Danson coincidentally had earlier starred with Star Trek's Kirstie Allie in Cheers). In an early television appearance in 1986 Terry Farrell appeared in the The Twilight Zone series in a remake of the original Twilight Zone episode, "The After Hours".
