Not everyone runs the Flag Day 5K the same way.

Some people chase medals. Some people chase bragging rights. Some people show up in a red, white, and blue tutu.

The good news? They all count.

And with Saturday morning looking awfully nice, this might be the perfect year to join us ☀️

There’s still time to register:

👆🇺🇸 Look up. 🇺🇸👆

Bill Donner and Eleanor Dunlop have joined more than 75 local veterans being honored throughout downtown as part of the Veterans Honor Walk.

You’ll find their banner in front of Village Hall.

Bill will lead Sunday’s parade as this year’s Flag Day Grand Marshal, and Eleanor will be recognized during Saturday’s Quilts of Valor presentation in Carver Park.

As you make your way through town this weekend, take a moment to look up—and if you’re lucky, say hello in person too. 👋

A new Flag Day tradition glows again. ✨

Friday June 12, The After Dark Lighted Parade returns to downtown Three Oaks. Decorated golf carts, bikes, side-by-sides, and more will join the slow roll through town.

Registration: 9:00 PM
Parade begins: 9:30 PM

Sign up and view the route:

Last year, a handful of neighbors lit up the night. This year, we’ve already got an excited group and the entries keep coming.

Join the slow roll through town, then stick around for live music and community under the lights at the American Legion.

Not decorating a ride? Grab a spot along the route and cheer us on. The more neighbors who come out, the more fun it becomes.

🥁🥁🥁 And this year’s Mighty Oak Award goes to…

Vickie Wagner

The award honors those whose roots run deep in our community and whose strength, service, and heart help make Three Oaks…Three Oaks.

For decades, Vickie has served local students, families, organizations, and neighbors, leaving a lasting impact throughout our community.

Many people know Vickie as leading the local Blessings in a Backpack program, helping ensure River Valley School District students have food to take home on weekends. That’s just one of the many ways she has quietly supported our community over the years.

Congratulations, Vickie, and thank you for helping make our community what it is.

Join us as we recognize Vickie during the Parade Opening Ceremony on Sunday, June 14 at 2:30 PM at Village Hall. You will also see her in the nation’s largest flag day parade that afternoon.
