Hello friends! It has come to our attention that a third-party is attempting to sell tickets for YAE's performances of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Please note: these are NOT real tickets and it is a scam! This particular instance is happening through Vivid Seats. We do have a cease and desist request out to them, but please, NEVER buy tickets for any of our events anywhere else but through our website (or at least tickets linked through our website).

Thank you all and be careful out there!

The Ventura County Gilbert & Sullivan Repertoire Company presents The Gondoliers or The King of Barataria performing March 6-22, 2026 in the Theatre on the Hill at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts. Tickets: HillcrestArts.com or 805-381-1246.

Use code GONDOLIER for 25% off tickets for select dates (3/6-8, 3/13, or 3/20). Limit 2.

Directed by Rebecca Pillsbury and Musical Direction by Zachary Spencer. Two just-married Venetian gondoliers are informed by the Grand Inquisitor that one of them has just become the King of "Barataria", but only their foster mother, presently at large, knows which one. As Barataria needs a king to put down unrest in the country, they travel there to reign jointly, leaving their wives behind in Venice until the old lady can be interviewed. It turns out that the king was wed in infancy to the beautiful daughter of the Spanish Duke of Plaza Toro, and so it seems he is an unintentional bigamist. Of course, the beautiful daughter is in love with a common servant! When the young Spaniard and the two Venetian wives all show up wanting to know which of them is queen, complications arise. No worries: The true identity of the king is revealed, and all is combed out spectacularly well by the end.
