The Peru 5K - Local Race:Global Impact The Peru 5K is a community running/walking event that will be hosted by Thorncreek Church in Thornton, CO on 1 June 2014.

By running in this race, you are partnering with Thorncreek Church in its mission to aid infrastructure and community development in Negritos, Peru. Located on the westernmost point of South America, this arid coastal community of 17,000 people is living in desperate conditions. Supplied with water two hours a day, three days a week, they have access to 24 hours of non-potable water a month. Altho

ugh plagued with unemployment, lack of medical care and poor living conditions, this community has a thriving child development program through Compassion International. So far we have sponsored 68 children in this area and that number is growing! Please join the cause as we continue to partner with this community. The race will be held on Sunday 1 June 2014.
