It all comes down to one final weekend in the Max 5 SCCA Time Trial championship! and have fought all season, and after 17 events the 2025 championship will be decided at Dominion Raceway the first weekend of November! Max 1 and Sport 1 classes have tight competition too!

That’s a wrap for the 2025 SCCA Time Trials Nationals at PittRace! WDCR had a huge turnout to the event and major presence on the podiums. Five WDCR drivers set new lap records this weekend:

WDCR Time Trials Driver Spotlight: & his beautiful turbo Miata

What started as a simple turbo Miata dream quickly spiraled into something much bigger. Originally aiming for 250hp, the build evolved into a full-blown TT Max 2 track weapon, now pushing 300-350hp within drivetrain limits. Along the way, challenges with reliability, brake thermal capacity, and transmission issues have shaped the journey—but each problem has only fueled the drive to improve.

After six years of learning, wrenching, and refining, the biggest highlight? A Max 2 lap record at Dominion! A moment where everything clicked, proving the hard work was worth it.

From an autocross enthusiast to a 95% track-focused driver, this Miata’s story is all about growth, passion, and pushing limits.
