Father & Son Bowl

Father & Son Bowl Backyard-style, 6-on-6 flag football! Our mission is to champion fatherhood and encourage men to be the loving and strong leaders that they were created to be.

Are you ready for some football?! The Father & Son Bowl is a community backyard-style flag football game for men and boys 5 y/o and older. We have a fun day of football that creates memories for a lifetime, featuring a skill zone, food vendors, and more! This is not a serious competition (except for braggin’ rights!), and you don’t have to be athletic or in shape. It’s all about having a great time! So, don’t watch your son from the sidelines — get in the game!

Last weekend we held the first of our 2026 events….celebrating 20 years of Father & Son Bowl!! Even though we had our first reschedule in 20 years and our first without all of our family being here, we are grateful that we are able to still do this event and so grateful for everyone who shows up!! Thank you to all of our sponsors, players, and volunteers for all of your support throughout the years. Thank you to our boys and their families-Noah, Riley, Lily, Caleb, Jacob, Taylor, Lottie, and Micah for being the reasons we started FSB 20 years ago and continue it today….Thank you for praying and always helping with whatever is needed!! Thank you to my parents Jack and Frances for always helping and supporting us- with folding shirts, stuffing envelopes and player bags, making bins for the smoke machines, watching the boys over the years and now Lily as we run the event, and feeding us. Thank you to Amy and Drake Garrison for helping us with anything and everything. We are so grateful you both were able to be there and for the countless hours you volunteer and the selfless work you do in helping put up tents, equipment, signage, loading and unloading epuipment and endless bins, and helping with sponsors. Thank you to Eric Cobb for all your help before the event with our database and for being one of our field general coordinators. Thank you to Mark Simons for all your help being one of our field general coordinators and with the Man of Honor Awards. Thank you to Josh Poteete for all your help before the event with equipment building and for recruiting players and volunteers for us. Thank you Lauri Bussell for all your prayers, helping in registration all weekend, and for recruiting volunteers. Thank you to Maik and Chantel Koserski for helping out all weekend and so many others. We are so grateful for you all!!

THE BEST!!!

A HUGE thank you to Middle Tennessee Electric and their partner crews for working tirelessly to restore power and keep our community safe. These electric utility workers were spotted late yesterday afternoon in the parking lot of Target on Columbia Ave., meeting and preparing to head back out.

We’re grateful for all of them, each of our incredible city public works and public safety team members, and for all the workers who continue to support response and recovery efforts across our community.

Thank you!

***EVENT RESCHEDULED ***
For the first time in 20 years, due to the continued below freezing temperatures forecasted for this upcoming weekend, we have made the decision to reschedule the Father & Son Bowl event from January 30–31st to February 13–14th and MVP Sunday to February 15th. The game times will be the same for the rescheduled weekend.

01/24/2026

WEATHER UPDATE: We’re keeping a close eye on the weather. If temperatures remain below freezing on January 30–31, the event will be rescheduled. Should that happen, we’ll move the event to February 13–14 at Page High School. We’ll email the primary registrant with an update by Tuesday the 27th—or Wednesday the 28th at the latest. You can also stay up to date by checking our website or page.

Hey FSB Fam!

We have a unique opportunity to celebrate Chan Sheppard, the 4:13 Strong Director of Operations. Chan is often the first to arrive on campus and the last to leave each weekday. He is a fantastic mentor, teacher, encourager and accountability partner to the staff and men that we serve.

Chan has been nominated for the Ponce Law Smashville Hometown Hero; the winner being announced at an upcoming Nashville Predators game! If you know and love Chan like we do, would you take a moment and vote for him? Closing ends on February 28 and we'd love to celebrate Chan and acknowledge his leadership and self-sacrifice. Use this link to vote every day:

Every year, the Nashville Predators work with Ponce Law to celebrate local champions who make a difference in our community. Meet this year’s nominees and cast your vote for the final Smashville Hometown Hero of the 2025-26 Season!
