Ok, so it seems that we are getting the same questions over and over. Hopefully this will make it easier for everyone. Christmas Lane has been going on for many years, and we plan to keep it going for the foreseeable future. For the record, Christmas Lane is lit up every night from the first Saturday in December through Christmas. We light up at dusk and remain lit until about ten pm. On Light Up Night, Santa arrives at 6pm to see the kids. However, due to his busy schedule, that is the only night that he is here. Visitors may drive or walk, and there is never any charge. There is no formal closing.

Sorry I couldn't answer everyone. We've been really busy and still are. Hope y'all are gonna come by sometime before Christmas.

Although most of the activities, for Christmas Lane Light Up, are cancelled, Santa is expected to be here for the trepidous souls who choose to brave the foul weather. We've never been totally rained out, and this year is no different. Hopefully, we can get back to normal next year. By the way, the lights WILL be turned on Saturday night. Y'all have a very merry Christmas, and we hope to see you here.

Ok, so we are all full of turkey. Now, we can get ready for the "big one", and a big one it will be starting in Thomaston at the fifty-firsr official Christmas Lane Light Up. Oh, but that's not all. There will be activities throughout the day and into the evening. These activities include the Market in the Park, kid zone, and food trucks, culminating in the actual lighting of Christmas Lane itself. Music featuring TUAC "GLEE" begins at 5:15 followed by Santa's arrival at six-ish. By the way, this is the 69th anniversary of Candyland, the display that started it all. Christmas Lane opens EVERY YEAR ON THE FIRST SATURDAY IN DECEMBER rain or shine. We, here, on Christmas Lane, look forward to seeing all of you in this most special of seasons.

We are, officially, halfway through the year, and Christmas Lane plans are already under way.

Huge crowd on Christmas Lane this evening!

I have been asked if folks can ride or walk Christmas Lane. Take your pick. Either works just fine.

WOW! What a night! This was probably the biggest Christmas Lane light-up nights in our memory. Many factors led to this great success. Forgive me if I list a few as follows:
-The families of Christmas Lane
-Jeff Kennedy and Mr. Cleveland for providing Santa's transport
-Thomaston Police Dept.
-Music provided by TUAC GLEE and the Pike Junior Players
-Thomaston Streets Dept.
-The multitudes of you who came to share this joy with us and have been doing so for decades.
-And, of course, the star of the night, Santa assisted by his trusty sidekick, "Elfina".
-Most of all , thanks to the Good Lord who provided us with us with a perfect evening
Now for some housekeeping. We, of Christmas Lane, implore our guests to enjoy the sights and sounds, of the experience, from the sidewalk. The yards are filled with high-voltage wires, hot spotlights, and "sharp, pointy things". Since we have all had damage, in the past, we ask that our guests stick to the sidewalks. We are excited about this season, and we hope to see you all, here, on Christmas Lane.

Well, boys and girls, it's that time again. Here, on R Street, we're gearing up for the 67th year of Candyland and the 49th year of Christmas Lane. This year, like all other years in the past, will open on the first Saturday in December. In this case, opening night will be on December 4th. We are particularly excited this year, because we have some new neighbors who are as excited about this season as we "old heads" are. On Saturday night, festivities will begin at around 5:15 with music provided by TUAC GLEE along with the Pike Junior Players. They will be singing new and traditional Christmas music, so please feel free to sing along.
Then at around 6:00, Santa will arrive in an old fashioned hayride pulled by an antique John Deere tractor. Upon arrival, Santa will take Christmas wishes from the kids. Please remember to enter Christmas Lane from Highway 19 since the traffic will be one way. For us, it's time to get busy as we have much to do before light up. We sincerely look forward to seeing you all. Greg and Susan Wilson
