Special Guests This Year
We are especially honored this year to welcome veterans and members of the American Legion Family from across Maine. The American Legion Department of Maine has invited Posts, Units, Squadrons, Legion Riders, and members statewide to join us as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration. It has been several years since the Legion Family has gathered together in one large parade, and we are thrilled that Thomaston will help host such a meaningful patriotic celebration.
A special reminder for families: kids who participate in the parade with decorated bikes will receive **free bracelets for the bounce houses** at the downtown celebration following the parade!
This year’s 4th falls on a Saturday, and we are expecting a huge turnout. Every year, visitors from all over the country, and even around the world, line Main Street to experience what many call a quintessential small-town Fourth of July celebration filled with community pride, patriotism, summer fun, and tradition.
Downtown Celebration
The fun continues throughout the day with festivities , food, craft fair, music, family activities, and fireworks! Be sure to keep an eye on our new page for the latest schedules, announcements, and updates as the celebration gets closer.
