It is with a very heavy heart that I write this post. Last night our Captain Asher, Brian Harper, co-owner of our faire, passed away. He had been fighting illnesses for a long time, and yesterday he lost the battle to sail the seas of the beyond.
Brian’s life was spent as a patron, cast member, organizer, and eventually owner of a faire. He lived and breathed faire, and we were privileged to have had him as the driving force of ours.
He will definitely be missed, but he will be remembered every time we garb up and step into the past. May the winds ever fill your sails my dear friend. - Aly

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TIME EVERYONE

We've been quiet the last few months here at the Texarkana Renaissance Faire, and now it's time to update everyone.

The last 6 years we have had the incredible opportunity to bring this community a unique family event and we couldn't be prouder of what we have built here in Texarkana. That being said, we have unfortunately decided to close the faire. There are several factors involved in this making this decision; issues with relocation, scheduling, and other unforeseen personal circumstances of some of our personnel. All of these have lead us to determine closing the faire is the right decision for us.

Our cast, Queen Claude and the French Court, the Pirates of Texarrrrrkana, the Gypsy Encampment, and the lovely Fairy Folk, are still a VERY close knit group. We plan to attend and lend our support to other local faires around the Four States area, and we encourage all of our extended "faire-mily" to do the same. There are several local faires run by some fabulous people, whom we've had the great pleasure in getting to work with, and are honored to be invited to become a part of. Our cast members, as well as our page here, will be posting information about these faires in the coming months.

On behalf of all of our cast, crew, performers, and merchants we have over the years, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU for sharing this adventure with us. The faire would not have been possible without the support of our community, and for that we thank you all. We have made some wonderful memories over the last 6 years, and we hope to make many more with all of you in the future.

Even though we won’t be having a faire this year (can’t wait for next year!) many of our local friends and cast are attending other events in the area! Here’s a great one coming up to get your pirate on!

ANNOUNCEMENT TIME. For the first time since we started our little Faire we have decided to pull up stakes and move. 2017 was the last time the Faire will be at the Four States Fairgrounds. We enjoyed our stay and want to thank Lisa Barr and her crew for working with us. Because it took a little longer to get what we wanted and because we had to let our vendors and entertainment know early in the year so they could make plans, we have decided to forgo a Faire for this year. We will start in Jan setting up for the new location: Camp Preston Hunt in Texarkana. The will give us a much more "Renny" feel and the site has everything we need. So mark your calendars for Oct 12 & 13 2019 for the next Texarkana Renaissance Faire

It is with a heavy heart that we heard of the passing of one of our cast members and a great friend, Greg Symonds. Our faire will not be the same without your sunshine and music, you will be missed.
