DERRICK JACK: An American-bred comedian based in DFW, Derrick credits his quick-witted comedy to the streets of the Midwest. When asked why he does comedy, the answer is simple: "It's extremely difficult to be sad when you're laughing. I consider myself a Laugh Doctor." BRADY MATTHEWS: A high-energy, Chicago-raised comedian whose explosive charisma and sharp storytelling have made him a standout across the country. Brady has shared the stage with Demetri Martin, Trevor Wallace, and Annie Lederman, and has been featured at Skankfest and Life Is Beautiful Festival. He's appeared on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, How I Met Your Mother, and in the Leonardo DiCaprio film J. Edgar. A little piece of Arkansas history is hanging on our walls.

We are proud to have several works by Merle Johnson, a local Arkansas artist known for his detailed pen-and-ink illustrations of courthouses and historic public buildings across the state. His work beautifully captures the architecture and character that make Arkansas towns unique.

Johnson spent many years living and working in Arkansas, dedicating much of his career to documenting the state’s historic buildings through limited-edition prints like this one.

If you love local history, architecture, and art that tells a story, you’ll want to take a closer look.

These pieces will be available at The Private Collection when we open our doors Friday the 13th during Downtown Live inside the historic 1894 building.
