Did you know Texarkana is home to its very own culinary school? The Texarkana College Culinary Arts team is super excited to showcase their skills at Texarkana Grill Fest 2018 tomorrow—and you don't want to miss it! Some goodies you can expect to taste:

▶️ Jack Daniels Marinated Sirloin Strips
▶️ Grilled Sweet Potato Discs
▶️ Smokey-Bandit Cole Slaw
▶️ Grilled Pound Cake with Grilled Pineapple and Smoked Strawberries (yep, you heard that right—smoked strawberries!)

"We'll be grilling on a Traeger, because I like the auto pellet feeder and grill-smoker combo," said Chef/Culinary Arts Coordinator Sheila Lynn. "I enjoy EVERYTHING about grilling. I love the flavor profiles you get with grilling and smoking. We're just excited to be part of this, to show off the talents of these culinary arts students, and to be part of the happenings in this community!" Who else is cooking at Texarkana Grill Fest 2018 tomorrow? Annemarie Sullivan with sullifarmandkitchen!

Annemarie is cooking with the Big Green Egg, "mostly because I'm not a very experienced griller and my uncle has one and swears by it!" She'll be bringing some of her favorite sausages from sullifarmandkitchen's very own local, pasture-raised beef and pork—think andouille, smoked and cured ham slices, Italian links, and more (and they'll have a surplus of products available for sale, too).

"I love the outdoor aspect of grilling the most," Annemarie said. "Being able to cook on an open fire is my favorite, and grilling is a more sophisticated version of that."

"Big Green Egg makes good food taste better." Enough said. That's how Team Sanchez—or Big Green Eggers William & Ella Sanchez—feel about their favorite grill.
