The secret’s out, Texarkana! 🎉
We’ve been quiet on socials, but trust us — we have NOT been sitting still. Big things have been brewing behind the scenes at our historic downtown Texarkana property, and we’re finally ready to start pulling back the curtain.
New windows are going in, and this is just the beginning. The Texarkanan is coming to life, and we cannot wait to share every step of this journey with you.

A little piece of Arkansas history is hanging on our walls.

We are proud to have several works by Merle Johnson, a local Arkansas artist known for his detailed pen-and-ink illustrations of courthouses and historic public buildings across the state. His work beautifully captures the architecture and character that make Arkansas towns unique.

Johnson spent many years living and working in Arkansas, dedicating much of his career to documenting the state’s historic buildings through limited-edition prints like this one.

If you love local history, architecture, and art that tells a story, you’ll want to take a closer look.

These pieces will be available at The Private Collection when we open our doors Friday the 13th during Downtown Live inside the historic 1894 building.
