It’s wild that it’s already been over 2 weeks since we had our 4th On This Rock Climbing Festival. We’ll be sharing some highlights and insights throughout the next few days, but we wanted to start off by simply saying thank you To all of you who came out and attended. As well as a MASSIVE thank you to those of you who volunteered. On This Rock couldn’t happen without our volunteers! 🧗‍♀️

On This Rock is stoked to partner with to help facilitate in the Crooked River Crash Bouldering Competition! Happening the Saturday during OTR, the comp is a great opportunity to test your skills for a great cause.

Hubbing out of On This Rock’s venue - 10136 NE Crooked River Dr, Terrebonne, Oregon - before spreading out into Smith Rock State Park, you’re not going to want to miss this fundraising bouldering comp, the first ever bouldering competition in Smith Rock State Park!
🧗🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️
Smith Rock is known for its world class sport climbing - but only the real dirtbag crushers know about its “hidden gem” boulder fields. This comp is focused on number of “V-points” climbed throughout the day, rewarding climbers in two ways: For every V-point you climb, money will go towards youth climbing in our community - particularly for Redmond’s public middle school students. If you climb the most V-points in your category, you’ll score some amazing prizes from our sponsors!

This comp is focused on fun at every climbing level so bring a friend (or 10), grab your crash pad, and pull some pebbles! Don’t have a crash pad? A limited number of rental pads will be available on the day-of the event for $10 at a first come, first served basis.

One of the many exciting happenings at OTR and In partnership with we’re excited to swoon at the moon and have fun in the sun! During Saturday of On This Rock, attendees and the general public are invited to safely view the sun 🌞 through a solar telescope and observe the moon 🌙 through a huge telescope! You’ll also have a chance to hang and ask all your questions with the Astronomer!
