The Ohio Building

The Ohio Building This unique venue houses The Ohio Building Meeting and Banquet Center on the first floor and Casa Urbana on the second floor.

The Ohio Building is a restored historical building in downtown Terre Haute, including a 1st floor banquet center and 2nd floor Casa Urbana, with overnight accommodations and roof top terrace overlooking the city. The Ohio Building Meeting and Banquet Center can accommodate up to 250 people for weddings, receptions, meetings, parties, reunions and banquets. Rental information is available by contacting [email protected] or calling 812-235-1145.

Sometimes the best projects start with something headed for the trash.

We repurposed an old corrugated sign with a fresh coat of chalkboard paint, creating a reusable sign we'll use for First Friday events and future happenings at The Ohio Building.

A simple project, a little less waste, and a lot more possibilities. ♻️✨

WOW! We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to our mural inquiry.

Thank you to everyone who has shared ideas, submitted artwork, tagged artists, sent messages, and shown excitement for this project. The creativity, talent, and community support have exceeded our expectations.

We are currently taking time to determine the best path forward. We appreciate your patience and enthusiasm, and we'll be sure to share next steps and updates as soon as we have them. We can't wait to bring something special to life and are grateful to have such an engaged and supportive community behind it.

This past weekend, we welcomed our final overnight guests to The Ohio Building.

For years, these historic walls have been home to celebrations, reunions, wedding weekends, milestone moments, and countless memories. We are incredibly grateful to every guest who chose to be part of our story and allowed us to be part of theirs.

While it is bittersweet to close this chapter, we do so with immense appreciation for all that it has been and great excitement for the future.

The Ohio Building's story is far from over. As we look to the future, we remain committed to creating meaningful experiences, preserving the character of this special place, and continuing to serve our community in new ways.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Here's to the memories we've made and the exciting new chapter yet to come!
