Celebrating Partnerships

Harvest Festival celebrates partnerships as close as Corn on a Cob

Together, Westminster Village, Ivy Tech Community College’s Agriculture Program and Terre Haute Catholic Charities have contributed more than 150,000 ears of sweet corn to food banks in the Wabash Valley and across the state.

The Westminster and Ivy Tech Partnership dates back to 2013 wehn our community invited the school’s ag department to utilize eight acres of land on our property, the historic grounds which were once part of the world’s largest complex of greenhouses JW Davis Gardens, are now used as a teaching field lab by Ivy Tech Ag Students. This year, the student farmers planted sweet corn.
