💬 A Note from Us About Fourth Friday

We want to take a moment to clear up a misunderstanding from our earlier Fourth Friday graphic. There was absolutely no offense intended toward the original organizers of First Friday. We truly value the work they’ve done to bring the community together. ❤️

This year, First Friday simply didn’t work with the calendar due to other events already scheduled on the first Friday of the month. But we still wanted to have something special for the community, so Fourth Friday was born.

When creating the first graphic, we reused a previous design that had been made specifically for First Friday from a branding grant Tazewell Today had received. “Fourth” wouldn’t fit in the same space as “First,” so a “record scratch” style mark-out was used to write in “Fourth.” It was meant to be playful, not dismissive. We sincerely apologize for any unintentional offense caused by this.

Thankfully, the branding grant consultant noticed the potential for misunderstanding and created a fresh, updated graphic for us to use moving forward. We appreciate your understanding and are looking forward to seeing everyone at Fourth Friday!
