It was a beautiful Carolina sky over the '25 SC Pawpaw Festival and we had a wonderful time sharing our love of the largest edible fruit native to North America.
We would like to give a huge thanks to the speakers, vendors, bands, friends, and most importantly the volunteers who made this year possible. A special thank you goes to the Travelers Rest High School Agriculture & FFA and the South Carolina Native Plant Society for providing a huge team of volunteers to the event and saving the day by covering for a few under the weather regular volunteers.
At the end of the day we welcomed 900 of our closest pawpaw loving friends to this years Festival at Blue Oak Horticulture, many of whom tried pawpaws for the first time in their lives. Over the next few weeks there will be many new pawpaw trees planted in landscapes across the Carolinas and Georgia in hopes of a wonderful harvest a few years down the road.
The crowds gathered around to hear Marcie Dallman from Clemson University, Patrick McMilllan of "Expeditions with Patrick McMillan", Seren Petrichor with Petrichor Pawpaws, and JE Bradley give top notch presentations.
There were many smiling faces enjoying pawpaw beer and cider from Carolina Bauernhaus Brewery & Winery, pawpaw ice cream from CynPot House TR, pawpaw pizza from fermentary kitchen, pawpaw BBQ sauce from Doin' the Butts, pawpaw crema aqua fresca from The Healthy Food Truck, and pawpaw lemonade from Jake's Lemonade Lab.
And of course, it wouldn't be the same without the incredible sound of Pretty Little Goat, The Well Drinkers, and St. Bruce.
A huge thanks also goes to our offsite farm pawpaw fruit suppliers Chattooga Belle Farm and Busy Bee Acres.
Thank you all so much for making the 2025 SC Pawpaw Festival a success!!! We look forward to seeing you back here next year!
