Hey, Hill Country friends! We've got a fun night coming up in Wimberley!

Michael Hearne is celebrating his birthday AND the release of his brand-new album, A Really Good Ride, on November 3rd at Bella Vista Music Club!

He'll be joined by his good friends The Rifters, so you know it's going to be a great night of music!

One of our favorite Big Barn Dance traditions is back!

Before the festival gets underway, come spend Wednesday afternoon strolling through Taos, popping into galleries, and catching some great live music along the way.

This year you’ll find Bo DePeña, Darby Sparkman, The Flinns and George Ensle playing at four different stops around town.

The Art Stroll is Wednesday, September 9 from 3 to 5 PM, and it’s completely free. Come for one stop or make your way to all four. It’s a fun, easy way to start Big Barn Dance week and enjoy a little bit of what makes Taos so special.

Friends, we wanted to share a couple of changes to this year’s Big Barn Dance lineup.

Unfortunately, our dear friend Gary P. Nunn is unable to join us this year. While we’ll certainly miss having Gary with us, we’re excited to welcome & The Wagoneers for our big dance on Saturday night! With a new EP making waves and a recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry, we can’t wait to welcome them to the Barn Dance stage for the first time.

We also have a slight change to the Lost Gonzo Band lineup. Joining us will be the Gonzo Survivors, featuring Bob Livingston, John Inmon, and Mike Hardwick.

Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the Big Barn Dance family. We can’t wait to see you soon!

Chuck Cannon, accompanied by Michael Hearne and Don Richmond, performing "This Old Guitar" a song that pulls on the heartstrings just as much as it does the guitar strings.

For those who have spent a lifetime making music, a guitar becomes far more than wood and strings. It develops its own identity, collecting stories, miles, memories, scars, and songs along the way. It becomes a trusted companion, a witness to a life lived through music, and a character in the story itself.

That's what makes this song, and this annual Big Barn Dance tradition, so special. It's a beautiful reminder that sometimes the instruments we play become part of who we are.

We can't wait to experience this moment again in September. ❤️🎶

For those who have never experienced Big Barn Dance Music Festival, here’s a little glimpse into one of our favorite traditions.

For the first two and a half days, our Main Stage is a seated listening venue, though there’s always a dance floor off to the side for those who want to two step. On Saturday night, we clear the chairs from the giant dance floor in front of the stage and turn the whole place into a big ol' dance hall.

This video features Bo Depeña performing Charlie Robison’s classic “New Year’s Day” during last year’s dance. Bo will be playing the Art Walk this year, while the Saturday night dance features Max & Heather Stalling Band, Gary P. Nunn & the Bunkhouse Band, and Michael Hearne & South by Southwest.

Bring your dancing shoes. You won’t want to miss it.
