DISNEY PIXAR'S ELEMENTAL – JUNE 17, 2026

Join Town of Taos Events on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Red Willow Park for Disney Pixar’s Elemental as part of the Movies on the Green 2026 Summer Series. This free, family-friendly community event invites families, friends, and visitors to enjoy an evening under the beautiful Taos sky. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets and arrive early to enjoy the park before the movie begins at 6:00 PM.

Food, snacks, sweet treats, and drinks will be available for purchase from Bites from Eden Bakery, Mystic Dance, and Sweet Poppin Kettle Corn. Community giveaways will be provided by Calvary Taos. Movies on the Green is an alcohol-free event designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all ages.

🔬 SUMMER FUN SCIENCE WITH MR. ERNIE LOPEZ
Thursday, June 18, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
An interactive STEAM experience for youth ages 6–16 featuring hands-on science activities, critical thinking challenges, and exciting opportunities to explore the world of science.

🦅 WILDLIFE OF NEW MEXICO
Tuesday, June 23, 2026
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Presented in partnership with the New Mexico Wildlife Center, this engaging community presentation will showcase New Mexico’s native wildlife and include hands-on biofacts such as feathers, skulls, and shells.

🎨 SUMMER CRAFTS MONDAYS
June 29 – July 27, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
A free creative series for all ages featuring a different craft each week, including holiday crafts, card making, jewelry making, flower pots, and bird houses.

All programs will be held at Don Fernando Hall, 120 Civic Plaza Drive, Taos.

These free community events are a wonderful opportunity to learn, create, explore, and have fun with family and friends throughout the summer.

The Town of Taos Events would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chris Baker, Lynne Robinson, and the Taos News staff who helped publish and share the beautiful story about our Little Royals Tea Party.

A special thank you to Tamra Testerman for capturing the heart of the event and highlighting the importance of creating meaningful experiences for children and families in our community through her thoughtful article.

We are also incredibly grateful to Coach Lisa Abeyta-Valerio, Danielle Lucero, and Stella Trujillo for taking the time to be interviewed and for sharing their insights on leadership, mentorship, and the importance of preserving the magic of childhood. Your dedication to serving as positive role models for our youth is truly inspiring.
