Early Bird team registration for the 2027 TROPICAL 7s is now live for a limited time only.

To coincide with our 10-year anniversary, we are offering teams to lock in their team registration fee at a reduced rate. Register within the first 10 weeks of registration opening to secure the special Early Bird rate ($925 per team) before standard pricing ($995 per team) applies. With demand for team places expected to be high for 2027, early entry is strongly encouraged.

2027 Tournament Dates are as follows

🏉 U12, U14 and U16 divisions: Thursday & Friday (25-26 March 2027)
🏉 U18 divisions: Friday & Saturday (26-27 March 2027)
🏉 U23 and Senior divisions: Saturday & Sunday (27-28 March 2027)

Teams can now register for the 2027 Tropical 7s to be held over 25-28 April 2027 (Fri/Sat of Easter weekend) at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay, our event venue in Tampa, Florida, USA.

We are also expanding the tournament to a new 4-day format with competitions running as follows:

* U12, U14 and U16 divisions: Thursday & Friday (25-26 March 2027)
* U18 divisions: Friday & Saturday (26-27 March 2027)
* U23 and Senior divisions: Saturday & Sunday (27-28 March 2027)
* Training sessions: Wednesday 24 March to Friday 26 March 2027

🌴😎🏉🇺🇸JOIN THE RWC WINNERS PRODUCTION LINE!

The US Rugby Foundation, a proud partner of Tropical 7s, is offering a full academic year scholarship for U.S. female high school rugby players to study and play at Hartpury College in England for 2026-27 academic year.

Hartpury has an outstanding rugby pedigree, with 15 of England’s 23-player 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup squad having come through the college.

The scholarship covers tuition, boarding, travel, medical insurance and airfare.

Eligible players must be U.S. sophomores or juniors, aged 16–18.

Congratulations to all nine student-athletes awarded 2025–2026 collegiate scholarships by the US Rugby Foundation 👏

We’re especially proud to see that 5 of the 9 recipients have all played at TROPICAL 7s, with some returning multiple times across their youth rugby journey:

Travis Anderson — represented Oceanside Collegiate Academy Rugby Club in 2024.

Max Horn — represented USA Rugby South Panther Academy in 2023, 2024 and in 2025.

Sarp Kundakci — represented USA Rugby South Panther Academy in 2023 and 2024.

Landon Lockhart-Keener — represented USA Rugby South Panther Academy in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Nora Rosenburg — represented Conestoga RC in 2023, Celtic Barbarians in 2024, and La Salle University in 2026.

Their recognition is another reminder of the talent, ambition, and character that comes through TROPICAL 7s each year — and the important role rugby can play in opening doors on and off the field. 🌴😎🏉🇺🇸Congratulations to Tiahna Padilla on winning the MA Sorensen Award as the National College Player of the Year — an incredible achievement after being named a record-breaking four-time finalist!

Tiahna’s journey has been special to watch at TROPICAL 7s, where she is a two-time champion — first with Fallbrook Girls Rugby in 2022 in the U18 Girls Elite division, and again in 2024 with Harvard University in the U23 Womens Elite Division, and representing them most recently at the 2026 Tropical 7s.

Congratulations, Tiahna — richly deserved! 🌴🏉🏆

Each of our 17 division winners took home a goodie bag packed with some awesome treats — That’s It bars, Banana Boat sunscreen, a custom vinyl rugby sticker + coupon from Modish Rugger, and a Wendy’s Frosty keytag (yes… free Frostys for a year 😎).

On top of that, champions walked away with a lei and a trophy to celebrate their win in style! 🌺🏆

🌴😎🏉🇺🇸Huge congratulations to Cass Bargell and Bella Vogel, who will start at 9 and 10 respectively for USA against Australia tonight, with kickoff at 8pm CT.

Bella makes her second start after making her debut against New Zealand last weekend, while Cass continues her rise after making her USA 15s debut at the Rugby World Cup 2025 in England.

We’re especially proud to see their Tropical 7s connection on the international stage. Bella captained the Rugby Advantage to the U18 Girls title at Tropical 7s in 2024, while Cass captained the USHSAA side to 2nd place in the same division in 2017.

Best of luck to both players this evening as they take on Australia in the Pacific Four Series. We’ll be cheering you on all the way. 🇺🇸🏉☀️
