Dear parents and chess players,
Our next rated tournament will be on October 12, 2013.
Scholastic players with rating < 1000 will be paired under Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced sections.
Super-Scholastic players with rating 1000 and above will be paired in OPEN section. (Please note super-scholastic players will NOT be paired with Adult players unless it is okay with super-scholastic players).
If you already played in our earlier tournaments, we have your information. Just reply to [email protected] with 'YES for October 12 tournament' in the subject line for pre-registration.
If not, scholastic players, please respond through email with name/grade/school/uscf member id. Adult players, please respond with uscf member id.
USCF rating as of September 30, 2013 will be used for categorizing the players into various sections.

Sections: Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced and Open
Time: 12:00 Noon - 5:30 PM
4 games; Registration closes at 12:30 PM and first game starts at 1:00 PM. Those who register after 12:30PM will be paired only from 2nd game onwards. NO EXCEPTIONS.
We strongly recommend pre-registering. All it takes is an email and report on the tournament day before 12:30 PM.
Fees: (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) - $20.00 (Early Registration by September 13th) / $23.00 (walk-in) / $0.00 (players who already paid as a package)
OPEN (cash prizes) $30.00 (Early Registration by September 14th) / $33.00 (walk-in)
The cash prizes for the open category depends upon the number of registrations in open category.
Cash prizes: $100.00 guaranteed with minimum 6 players in open category. Separate prize pool for Super Scholastic and adult players even if they are paired together.
$200.00 guaranteed with minimum 10 players in open category.
