Thank You to the volunteers that helped to bring The Wall That Heals to Meskwaki Settlement School in Tama. From the Iowa Veterans Home that provided a starting point for the es**rt, to the es**rt riders who endured extreme heat, to the over 120 volunteers that helped to assemble the Wall. The staff of nearly 140 who were there 24 hours a day to help visitors. The ceremonies were very moving and the teardown crew worked hard until the last piece was back in the trailer. Nearly 400 volunteer positions were filled by people in our area. That is amazing and a tribute to veterans in and of itself. The committee that worked tirelessly to bring this to the area. Most I had never met but I have developed lifetime friendships with. It has been an honor to work with all of you!! Thank you!
