Q: What sparked your love for the arts?
A: I liked to imitate my brother, who enjoyed drawing comics. From there, my interest grew with each art class I took. Here is a photo from 1985; I was in high school on a military base in Germany, selling my pen and ink drawings of famous buildings in Europe.

Q: Do you still create today? Who is your favorite artist?
A: I do! I enjoy painting large backdrops for my Halloween trunk-or-treat display. I'm also into performing arts, creating a movie with friends on my birthday each year, and performing a parody raffle time song at the annual conference of the nonprofit where I work. After a recent trip to the Rodin Museum in Paris, I’ve become fond of his sculptures!

Q: What does the Festival mean to you?
A: The Festival is a premier annual event in this city. It feels great to play a small role in helping it be successful. Also, it reminds me of that 1985 photo and my fun times having an art booth.

Q: What sparked your love for the arts?
A: I’ve been serious about the arts and creating for as long as I can remember—starting at age four (and as you can see in my photo, I still prefer working on the floor!). Growing up critiquing paintings with my dad, Gerald Ensley, laid the foundation for my appreciation of fine art. I attended FSU and earned two bachelor’s degrees in Studio Art and Art Education, and a master’s degree in Art Education.

Q: Do you still create today?
A: Yes! That early love deepened over time and led to more advanced skills like woodturning, wheel throwing, printmaking, welding, and glassblowing. I also hold a K-12 Florida Art Teacher Certification and volunteer in classrooms across our community.

Q: What does the Festival mean to you?
A: With 20 years of experience as a maker and arts administrator, I am delighted to support artists and cultural institutions through my work as an independent arts consultant, curator, and project manager through my business, .artful. Working with the Festival's artists and local partners is a fully immersive experience where I can use my various cultivated skills to help bring the arts to our community in a highly meaningful way.

Q: What sparked your love for the arts?
A: My mom noticed my natural pull toward art early on and encouraged me to experiment—from drawing on restaurant placemats to crafts at home. She exposed me to many art museums during our travels and made sure I had access to lots of art classes and summer camps. That early exposure inspired me to take every art class I could, earn a BFA in Fine Art, and build a career in fashion design and the fine arts.

Q: Do you still create today?
A: When I can! I love making jewelry and painting gifts for loved ones, and right now I’m having so much fun painting a mural in my baby’s nursery.

Q: What does the Festival mean to you?
A: Managing the Festival is an incredible honor. Many people are discouraged from pursuing creative careers, so helping artists showcase their talent and build sustainable livelihoods is deeply rewarding. I also love watching kids discover their own creative spark! To me, art isn't a luxury—it’s as essential as water or oxygen. Being immersed in creativity feeds my soul and shapes how I experience the world. It’s a universal language.
