SATURDAY AUGUST 6th....PINE STREET RAMBLERS in the Park!

6:00 PM

Hailing from the Sierra Nevada Foothills, Pine Street Ramblers are a string band performing American roots music. Their high energy sound is a refreshing take on the typical modern string-band; their live show is a raucous powerhouse that deftly showcases their songwriting prowess in the context of foot stompin' good times and remarkable collective instrumental chops.

With great sadness we announce the passing of our Park namesake, Marie Sluchak.

Marie died on her birthday, March 29, at the age of 96.

Those of you who knew Marie know of her untiring efforts to build and support the Park. Most folks don't know that Marie was an Elementary School teacher, dental assistant to her husband, Tahoe League for Charity charter member, AAUW and Womens Club member, Lake of the Sky Garden Club member,Tahoe Parks and Rec director, Renown South Meadows Hospital volunteer for 10 years and Rotary Paul Harris recipient. Her proudest accomplishment was the Marie Sluchak Community Park.

Her legacy will endure long into the future.
