Part of the hula journey with Kumu Hula Kanoelani Galiza, is to bless a dedicated Hula Haumana with a Hawaiian inoa (name). Kumu Hula Kanoelani blessed Haumana Edna , with that special name this evening before the Ka Papa Hula. We reintroduce to you “AlohaNahenahe (Love of a soft, sweet, gentle voice). Her commitment and loyalties are seen in Kumu’s Na’au. She has been Kumu’s Haumana since 1999, Congratulations AlohaNahenahe! We are so very happy for you! Kumu Hula Kanoelani is proud to add you into her Hula Halau lineage...AlohaNahenahe, Aloha Ke Akua Pu!

Her journey with Halau Halau’O Kealaakua Naniloa Manao’akamai, is an incredible testimony of her life’s experiences and how she has grown within the Halau. As you can see, Edna has taken control of her health and is working out. She is also Lima in our Tahitian, you can see her here leading Haumana in a core workout... we are blessed to have her in our Hula Ohana.”

Memories... We would like to welcome back to Hula Halau 'O Keala'akua Naniloa Mana'oakamai, Leilanialoha and Makamae ( who have been dancing since they were Keiki). These two U’i dancers have returned as U’i young women). They are now Lima’s ( helpers), and Kumu Hula Kanoelani is so very proud of them.
