Thank you to all who participated as a vendor, entered the car show, those who entertained (including Flimsy), and to all who came out to our Spring Has Sprung Festival today! We appreciate the support from our downtown business community. Kudos to our Tabor City Town Government. TC Town Maintenance, Police & Fire Departments, Promotions, etc. consistently do alot for us and our community. It would not have been possible without our SPONSORS and all of you! Preparations began right after New Year’s Day. It takes alot of time & effort to get ready. We appreciate the preliminary work of our Chamber EVP, Cynthia Nelson. All of the Facebook posts for over 3 months, the applications mailed, the private messages, the texts, and phone calls are worth all of our collective efforts when we see the smiles on EVERYBODY’s faces! Cynthia’s Mother passed away last week and she had to hand the remainder of the workload off to our Chamber President Marylou Molina, our Office Volunteer, Charity Lovette, and the GTC Chamber of Commerce Board Members with the aid of several of our Chamber Champion Volunteers. No one missed a beat getting it all done! That is what teams do. They are prepared to cover their teammates even when it’s easy and especially when one is going through a tough time. There is no “I” in TEAM! It takes everyone working together. Thank you again to our Chamber Board Members and to our Volunteers. Y’all were right there helping guide Charity as she helped Cynthia! AND without our community and sponsors supporting this event it would never have made it to year #6. Now we take the notes from this year and work towards an even more successful year #7 for 2027! Should you need to contact us please call 910-377-3012 (ofc) or 910-840-0292 (cell). Understandably, Cynthia is taking a few more bereavement days thus will be out of the office. She is scheduled to return after Easter/Spring break, then will be back at our regular operating schedule. Call the cell number above any day between 10 & 3 and she will respond as quickly as possible.
