A True Icon Honored at Indie Horror Ju**ie Film Fest 2026!

This year, we had the absolute honor of presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to the legendary Lin Shaye, a performer whose impact on film, and especially indie horror, is nothing short of extraordinary.

From unforgettable roles in Kingpin and There’s Something About Mary to her chilling, genre-defining performance in the Insidious franchise, Lin has captivated audiences across generations. But what truly sets her apart and what made this recognition so special, is her unwavering support and presence in the indie horror world.

Through standout performances in films like Dead End, Scared to Death, and House of Abraham, she has continued to elevate independent storytelling with the same passion, intensity, and brilliance she brings to every role.

Lin Shaye isn’t just a horror icon, she is a champion of indie creators, a force of nature on screen, and a shining example of what it means to give your all to the craft. She is, without question, a jewel in the indie horror crown and an inspiration to filmmakers and fans everywhere.

Thank you, Lin, for everything you’ve given to this genre we love.

What a weekend… and what a community.

To everyone who came out to MegaCon Orlando and helped make the 2026 Indie Horror Ju**ie Film Fest the biggest and best one yet, THANK YOU. Truly.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing familiar faces who have been rocking with us since the early days, while also welcoming so many brand new Ju**ies into the family. That energy, that passion, that shared love for indie horror… it’s what this is all about.

We’ll be putting together a full recap post very soon with photos from this unforgettable experience, along with all of this year’s award winners and trust us, you’re going to want to relive every second of it.

But before all of that, we just wanted to take a moment…

From both Rick Danford and Aimee Rolfsen, we are beyond moved by the outpouring of love and support we felt all weekend long. Every conversation, every handshake, every kind word, it meant more than we can properly put into words.

What started as a passion has grown into something so much bigger, and it’s because of ALL of you. Your support fuels us. Your creativity inspires us. And your belief in indie horror keeps this entire movement alive.

We are humbled. We are grateful. And we are more fired up than ever.

This only strengthens our mission to keep pushing forward, lifting up our fellow creators, and continuing to FEED THE NEED for indie horror across the world.

Rest up… because we’re already gearing up to run it back next year!
