Today, we proudly celebrate Rebecca on her graduation from Le Moyne College — and even more incredibly, for being selected as the 2026 Undergraduate Commencement Speaker.

Rebecca has represented our community with excellence, leadership, intelligence, and heart. From being crowned our first Festival Queen and scholarship recipient to now standing at the podium inspiring hundreds of graduates, she continues to show what dedication, culture, and purpose can accomplish.

Your Puerto Rican and Lebanese roots, commitment to service, and passion for helping others are truly inspiring. You have made our community proud, and we know this is only the beginning of an amazing journey ahead.

Hoy Puerto Rico y el mundo del deporte están de luto por la partida de José “Piculín” Ortiz 🇵🇷🏀

Un gigante del baloncesto, orgullo boricua, que llevó nuestro nombre en alto en cada cancha donde jugó. Más allá de su talento y logros, será recordado como un gran ser humano, humilde, cercano y comprometido con su gente.

Su legado vivirá en cada joven que sueña con representar a Puerto Rico, en cada fanático que celebró sus victorias, y en cada corazón que tocó con su humildad.

Today, Puerto Rico and the world of sports mourn the passing of José “Piculín” Ortiz 🇵🇷🏀

A giant in basketball and a true Puerto Rican icon who proudly represented our island on every court he stepped on. Beyond his talent and achievements, he will be remembered as a kind, humble, and genuine human being who deeply cared for his community.

His legacy will live on in every young athlete who dreams of representing Puerto Rico, in every fan who celebrated his victories, and in every life he touched.
