Hey Everyone!! We need everyone to vote on your favorite float in Fayetteville’s first Christmas Parade!
Attached is a video of the entire parade and each float is announced throughout the video!
You can message your pick to us on this page. The winner will be announced on Lori Darlin's at Kozy Korner Facebook live tomorrow night, Friday, December 15th.

Here’s a little information about the parade tomorrow. We are so excited and hope everyone can join us!!

Parade info for participants:

Everyone with horses will meet in the big parking lot by the football field at Fayetteville school and everyone else will meet at the parking lot by the gym. Any signs for vehicle’s will be your responsibility.
We ask everyone in the parade to be at the school around 4:30…no later than 5.
We are expecting a big turnout!!

Parade route:

Parade will start at 6pm and will begin at Fayetteville school, come down road by Dollar General, go in front of Lori Darlin’s, turn by Big Daddys, go around Fayetteville Circle and back in school parking lot.

We encourage as many lights and as much music on your floats as possible. Candy will be allowed to be thrown from floats as well!!

We invite everyone (participants and spectators) back to Lori Darlin’s after the parade to meet Santa and for some hot soups, chili and desserts. All food will be complimentary. Donations for our annual fundraiser will be greatly appreciated. We hope everyone can join us for this Christmas celebration. It will be a great time for our community and we hope everyone can participate!!

Our Grand Marshal for the 2023 Fayetteville Christmas Parade will be Mr. CJ Knight!!

CJ is the president of the Masie Knight Memorial Scholarship Fund which he started in honor of his mother. This nonprofit organization has raised over $82,000 in scholarships for local schools in the lower Talladega County school system. CJ is a great example of young people giving back to their community!!

Fayetteville is blessed to have CJ and his family and we are honored to have him serve as our first ever Grand Marshal!!

The time is nearing and we are all so excited!! We have several entries and I believe that we’re going to have a great turnout. Anyone interested in participating, you still have time. We request that you have your forms turned in by Friday, December 8th so we will have time to organize the line up. We will have lights put up on the side of the roads but we request that you use as many lights as you can on your float. The brighter, the better!!

After the parade, we invite everyone to come to Lori Darlin’s to meet Santa and have pictures made with him. We also invite everyone to just come in and warm up and socialize with our community. We will be serving soups, chili, desserts, drinks, hot chocolate and coffee free of charge to all the participants and spectators. We have a lot of new residents in Fayetteville and we would like to invite all of them to come and see why Fayetteville is a great place to live!!

We are so looking forward to parade day, Tuesday, December 12th!! We hope that everyone will participate and come join us for some great fellowship after the parade!!

We have a date, time and route set for our parade!! I’m posting a pic of our entry form that can be printed off or you can pick one up at Lori Darlin’s. All entries should be turned in by December 1st. Our route will be the same as Fayetteville’s Homecoming Parade. Parade will be December 12th at 6pm.

Everybody please consider entering and/or participating so we can make this a Christmas tradition for our community and something our kids can look forward to each year!!

We are in the process of trying to start a new Fayetteville tradition and having our very first Christmas parade in 2023.

We think this would be a great tradition each year and would be great at bringing our community together to enjoy the holiday season.

We would love to get everyone’s thoughts and ideas for this event. Please let us know!!
