We want to address something directly.
The Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling—an event created to support our local parks, inclusive playground equipment, and to bring the community together while also supporting local businesses—has been blocked from being shared on MULTIPLE Swoyersville pages. In addition, the event founders and admins have also been blocked from posting updates.
This is a community fundraiser benefiting the entire town, local organizations, and small businesses that participate and rely on these events for visibility and support. Limiting access to this information prevents residents from staying informed about what’s happening in their own community.
Because of this, we are continuing updates through Swoyersville - Nextdoor.com 2.0, a community-driven space focused on transparency, local engagement, and keeping residents connected to local events, businesses, and opportunities to get involved.
We encourage everyone to join and support platforms that keep community information open, accessible, and supportive of local growth.
