⛺ Tent Rental Update: At this time, we are not opening VIP tent rentals to new occupants just yet. We are still waiting to hear back from one or two returning pilots from last year's event regarding their renewals. We expect to release any remaining tent availability to new pilots by July 1st.

We’re honored to announce the continued support and participation of the National WASP WWII Museum for Turbines and Tumbleweeds 2026!
The WASP Museum has once again stepped up for our pilots, guests, and community.

For 2026, they will again be providing one of the most anticipated raffle prizes of the event — a flight experience in one of their historic aircraft. This year’s ride will take place in the legendary AT-6 Texan trainer aircraft.

In addition, the museum will once again host a private Friday morning tour exclusively for our pilots and guests, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible history preserved at Avenger Field.

And this year, we’re adding something truly special. Instead of heading into town for our traditional wrap dinner, the WASP Museum will host and cater a private sit-down dinner on Saturday evening INSIDE the museum hangar itself.
Your dinner ticket will include:
• A catered meal
• Your first drink (if desired)
• Cash bar afterward
• An unforgettable evening surrounded by aviation history

HOTEL UPDATE FOR TURBINES & TUMBLEWEEDS 2026

We want to make everyone aware of a unique lodging situation developing in the Sweetwater, Texas area for this year’s event.

Due to unprecedented demand on area hotels from multiple large-scale AI data center projects — including the overflow from Abilene, two major AI data centers currently being planned south of Sweetwater, and the upcoming wind energy blade replacement cycle beginning this fall — hotel availability is expected to become extremely tight.

As a result, we will unfortunately NOT be able to offer hotel room blocks this year, and we will also not have an official hotel sponsor for the event.

The good news is that rates are currently still reasonable. However, we strongly encourage everyone to secure accommodations EARLY.

IMPORTANT:
