A season reflection, from the Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association:
As another concert season draws to a close, we’re proud to reflect on what has been a successful and memorable summer. Despite the challenges brought on by weather—heat, smoke, humidity, and rain—attendance remained strong, with over 7,500 people joining us throughout the season.
Audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive. From the opening night with *Magic 5* and special guest Don Gaston, to the record-breaking crowd for *Fire Lake: A Bob Seger Tribute*, and our heartfelt finale with *Stone Street Revival* during the Bob Smeets Memorial Coney Night, each concert brought something unique. While united by the spirit of classic rock, the diversity in musical style kept each performance fresh and engaging.
Our foray into country music this year brought *Taylor Tucky* to the stage—an evening full of high energy and crowd-pleasing entertainment that added a dynamic touch to our lineup.
Of course, none of this could happen without the incredible efforts of our behind-the-scenes volunteers. The SCFAA Board of Directors, the weekly volunteer crews, parking team, and concession stand staff all contributed immeasurably to the season’s success. I want to especially thank my own family—my wife, daughters, son, and grandson—for their continued support and hands-on help week after week.
A special recognition goes to Roger Sharp and his family. As a founding member of the SCFAA, Roger’s unwavering commitment to Swartz Creek, family, and community continues to inspire all of us. It cannot be underscored enough the legacy and strength of the SCFAA being deeply rooted in family and community involvement.
Lastly, we are so deeply grateful to our sponsors, members, and raffle donors, whose generosity makes this series possible year after year. Thank you for your commitments to keeping this a celebration of community every summer, free for residents of our region.
As we wrap up 2025, planning for next season is already underway. Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping us make the SCFAA Summer Concert Series a true community celebration.
And if you enjoyed this year and want to contribute a tax-deductible donation, we welcome your gifts year-round as we plan for the best entertainment we can reach.
Be safe, be kind, and we ask that you all continue to invest in making Swartz Creek a community we’re all proud to call home.
See you next year—on the hill!
Warm regards,
**David Spillane**
